Background
Undertakers Originally formed in 1989 in the city of Uppsala, Sweden. During the 90's the band made a bundle of chaotic gigs at various pubs and local motorcycle clubs.
Music
With their roots in punk and 70's hard rock the band creates a sound described by a local journalist as "Sex Pistols raping Motörhead" over the years Undertakers have gathered a small dedicated following of fans showing up for every gig resulting in chaotic live sessions feeling more like private confusing partys.
Undertakers - the urban legend!
The storys surrounding the band are many and still concidered something of a urban legend localy. It's said their fans once trashed the entire stock of beer glasses at a nightclub (and the men's room) with thousands of band stickers, with the result one member getting a angry call from the manager in the middle of the night with the threat of beeing sued.. Another time a nightclub owner threatened the band with a 44 magnum, claiming the band actually owed him money for loosing customers.. A local motorcycle club also detained their instruments for 24 hours until the bar bill was settled.. At the same gig Undertakers played opener for the Swedish band "Leathernun" and the authorities cut the power trying to stop them from playing. The band however played twice later that evening and local journalist wrote "Undertakers blew the nun out of the water". The band often opened their gigs with "Hello, we're Jethro Tull!". In short, Undertakers allways been their own worst enemy and the storys is just as important as their dedicated fans just adding to the myth and confusion around the band.
